Job Summary
Online Media Role-player supports NATO JWC’s media simulation mission by creating strategic news and social media content based on daily D&G from Chief Media. Responsibilities include reviewing exercise and scenario documentation; identifying and creating required mainstream and OPFOR media content; advising syndicate members on media implications and injects; developing media injects to supplement storyboards and incidents; scripting articles and social content per media SOP; synchronizing media injects across the media lifecycle; reviewing scenario documentation and ensuring media framework alignment with standards for NewsWeb distribution; generating pre-scripted and dynamic content for MEL/MIL, TA activity, and EXCON D&G; conducting daily role-playing interviews and engagements; monitoring and updating Battle Log and Inject Status; ensuring content accuracy and relevance by coordinating with SMEs; coordinating and posting strategic hashtags and troll activity as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education
- Professional journalism and/or academic writing experience within past 8 years
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word
- At least 5 years’ experience working in a communications field
- Portfolio with at least 5 published content examples
- Current NATO Secret Security Clearance
- Demonstrated proficiency in English as defined in STANAG 6001 (SLP 4444) or equivalent
- Clearance: Must possess an active NATO or U.S. SECRET or higher security clearance
- Location: NATO Joint Warfare Center, Stavanger, Norway; Travel: CONUS and OCONUS

- Experience advising on media implications and injects
