Job Summary

Lead the strategic development of digital learning initiatives to advance information literacy and student success in a on-campus Academic Library environment. Oversee the design and assessment of tutorials, modules, and digital learning objects created with tools such as Canvas and Articulate 360; collaborate with librarians and subject matter experts to produce high-quality online instruction on information literacy, library resources, and library services. Ensure digital learning environments reflect evidence-based pedagogy and accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA). Partner with the Director of Experiential Learning and Engagement and colleagues to plan, allocate resources, and develop programs that advance the instructional mission of the University Libraries. Coordinate online learning services, design multimedia instructional content (videos, interactive modules, infographics), stay current with trends in online learning, and support distance learners. Contribute to collaborations across campuses, participate in committees, and engage in scholarly/professional activities to integrate new ideas and technologies into library services and programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Library Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience with modern e-Learning authoring and multimedia production tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, H5P, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, Vyond, or equivalent tools
  • Experience collaborating effectively with stakeholders (faculty, staff, students, administrators)
  • Demonstrated experience implementing a systematic instructional design strategy in an academic or library context
  • Experience with accessibility standards including WCAG and ADA requirements in educational contexts
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Knowledge of academic library functions
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of customers and employees
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage time effectively
