Job Summary
The Online Learning Intern will support the Knight Center’s distance learning program by assisting with the production and quality control of online journalism courses offered through JournalismCourses.org. Responsibilities include copyediting transcripts for online course videos, organizing and maintaining online course materials, assisting with certificate data and emails, and coordinating with the Online Courses Manager and Online Courses Associate on daily/weekly tasks. The role emphasizes contributing training ideas and supporting delivery of training programs for journalists worldwide, gaining hands-on experience in online education and digital journalism training. The position is based at UT Austin’s Moody College of Communication with a focus on producing high-quality learning experiences for a global audience of journalists and communicators.
Required Qualifications
- Current undergraduate student at UT Austin
- Open to work study and non-work study
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- U.S. work authorization required
