Job Summary
Online Learning Facilitator (Part-time, 20 hours biweekly) in Glentworth, SK. Role involves supporting students in an online learning environment, serving as the primary point of contact for learners, coordinating resources and course requests, proctoring exams, logging progress, and collaborating with teachers and administrators. Requires strong communication, organizational, and technology skills; involves travel to work-based placements and working within the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre framework. Salary range: Level 4, $24.45–$27.23 per hour, with CUPE 5544 benefits; criminal record check may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Assistant Certificate or Diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently in an online delivery model
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines
- Experience in online learning environments and understanding of online learning challenges
- Ability to supervise and proctor exams and coordinate student pace and progress
- Willingness to travel to placement locations and supervise as required
- Ability to establish rapport with students and support staff
- Criminal record check (vulnerable sector) may be required
- Knowledge of Moodle or similar LMS and classroom technology
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
- Team collaboration with Online Teachers, School-Based Administrators, and other staff
- Ability to adapt to changing needs of students
- Willingness to learn new skills and strategies for student support
- Experience in educational settings or as an Educational Assistant
