Job Summary
Support students in an online learning environment as the primary point of contact, managing DLCgo accounts, course selections, and drop requests while maintaining accurate documentation of records, timelines, and progress reports. Collaborate with teachers and administrators to ensure students have necessary resources, orient new learners to classroom procedures, and supervise diverse learning supports. Coordinate and proctor exams, monitor student pace using Moodle logs and grade checks, and facilitate parent-student-teacher conferences. Supervise work-based placements by traveling to locations, maintaining progress records, and reporting to the PAA Program Coordinator. This temporary part-time role (30 hours bi-weekly) begins August 2026 at Ituna School.
Required Qualifications
- Work independently in an online delivery model.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills including an ability to establish rapport with students.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through the successful completion of an Educational Assistant Certificate or Diploma in combination with work experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Advanced computer skills and experience using a variety of computer software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook).
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and proficiently complete multiple tasks while dealing with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.
- An energetic team player whom tactfully and respectfully supports students and colleagues to promote a positive work environment.
- The successful candidate will be required to submit a satisfactory criminal record check (vulnerable sector) as a condition of employment.
