Job Summary
Teach assigned online courses by delivering lectures, creating lesson plans, and utilizing the Moodle learning management system to post syllabi and assignments. Engage students through weekly feedback reports, timely responses to inquiries within 24 hours, and office hours or scheduled appointments for consultations and tutoring. Direct and monitor student progress by identifying at-risk individuals, documenting early alerts, and implementing success action plans while enforcing attendance and grading policies. Submit weekly feedback reports to leadership, maintain grade books, and participate in mandatory faculty meetings, committees, and annual continuing education. Collaborate with the Director of Online Education on curriculum development and program retention strategies to ensure high-quality education delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent
- Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent
- Minimum of four (4) years of related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught
- All faculty should, at a minimum, have the degree required for the specific discipline and have experience and appropriate credentials in their relevant area of academia
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and analytical skills
- Excellent teaching skill and ability to efficiently manage students' online activities
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to manage people and projects
- Knowledgeable in the course content
- Effective in directing and evaluating student learning and overall performance
- Prepared in Educational Theory and Techniques
- A willingness to follow high ethical standards
- Maintain any relevant licensures, certifications, and other required maintenance of paperwork for personnel file
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Comply with all governmental regulations and standards of accreditation
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience teaching at a post-secondary education institution
