Job Summary
Deliver structured, engaging online reading lessons via Zoom to groups of up to four elementary students, following the provided step-by-step curriculum. Maintain instructional fidelity to structured literacy and Science of Reading approaches while monitoring and documenting student progress using established assessment and reporting tools. Create and sustain a positive, orderly virtual learning environment that supports student engagement and growth. This contract, remote role offers flexible Monday–Friday hours between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time with compensation up to $24/hour for sessions lasting 30–40 minutes. You will contribute to a research-backed program shown to improve student reading outcomes, supported by ongoing coaching and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Proficiency with Zoom and common digital teaching tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to connect effectively with elementary-aged students
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Degree or coursework in education, literacy, English, or a related field
- Experience teaching early reading, phonics, or K–3 instruction and familiarity with structured literacy methods
