Job Summary
Online Assistant at Sainsbury’s responsible for selecting and preparing quality products for online customer orders, offering suitable substitutions when items are out of stock, using a route-planning handset to guide picking, processing orders, assisting with loading vans for home delivery, and providing proactive customer support. Build product knowledge to offer recommendations, work flexibly across the store, and adapt to a fast-paced environment with early-morning shifts (often starting around 4am). Emphasis on customer service, initiative, problem solving, load handling up to 15kg, and learning new digital tools to enhance performance. The role includes contributing to a high-quality shopping experience and collaborating with colleagues to maintain store standards and deliver orders efficiently.
