Online Assistant

Online Assistant at Sainsbury’s store supports online shoppers by selecting high-quality products for delivery, offering substitutions when items are out of stock, and assisting with order processing and loading vans for home delivery. You’ll plan routes using a handheld device, handle customer queries, build product knowledge, and provide recommendations. You’ll work flexibly across the store, often starting early (4am shifts) in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, after training in a variety of skills and learning to use digital tools to enhance the shopping experience. The role emphasizes customer service, initiative, problem solving, attention to detail, and teamwork, with responsibilities including order picking, loading, stock handling, and proactively helping customers.
