Job Summary
Assist the teacher in planning and implementing classroom curriculum to meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the assigned student with autism and disabilities. Provide ongoing support for student assessment, lesson plan development, and IEP goal implementation while maintaining order and guiding students toward socially appropriate behavior. Observe and track student behavior to gather data, perform calculations, and create graphic illustrations for staff review to monitor proficiency and support program modifications. Manage individual student behavior to ensure a safe and secure environment, reporting any safety hazards or property damage immediately.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of direct support experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within an educational or classroom-based setting
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Bachelor's degree
