Job Summary
Plan classroom curriculum and implement individualized lesson plans to meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of assigned students with autism. Assist teachers in assessing student abilities, developing activities that address specific IEP goals, and tracking behavioral data to monitor proficiency levels. Maintain classroom order, guide students toward socially appropriate behavior, and manage equipment while reporting safety hazards. Support the implementation of daily living, social skills, and enrichment activities including adaptive physical education and the activity pool.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of Three (3) years of direct support experience
- Experience within an educational or classroom-based setting
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
