Job Summary
Provide personalized financial counseling to prospective, current, and returning students, guiding them through applications, verifications, and resolving account discrepancies. Manage and analyze student accounts (payments, holds, refunds, and collections) while ensuring compliance with federal and institutional policies. Collaborate with Enrollment, Admissions, and Student Success to create a seamless student experience. Host workshops/orientations to educate students on financial literacy, aid programs, and institutional policies. Demonstrate strong customer-service focus and ability to navigate sensitive situations in a higher-education setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years of office and customer service experience
- Experience with financial aid processes or in education preferred
- Knowledge of Title IV Federal Student Aid programs and regulations
- Proficiency with PowerFAIDS, Workday, or similar student information systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work in a hybrid (in-person and remote) environment
- Evidence of Christian commitment and alignment with PLNU’s Community Life Covenant
