Job Summary
One-on-One Special Ed Aide supports teachers and students in a special education setting. Responsibilities include assisting individual students one-on-one or in small groups, supporting academic tasks in reading, writing, math, spelling, and life skills, implementing behavior management plans (including CPI training), monitoring and redirecting student behaviors, assisting with personal care needs, data collection related to behavior and instruction, participating in professional development, and communicating with staff, students, and the community. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and experience working with children, especially in special education; includes duties in classroom support, safety, confidentiality, and adaptability to a variety of teaching skills.
