Job Summary
Paraprofessional providing classroom and personal care support to students, including assisting with instruction, managing behavior, facilitating mobility, and supporting inclusive learning environments. Requires a high school diploma or GED, eligibility for an Educational Aide Permit, health and background checks, and the ability to work with students with disabilities. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to learn required skills, and readiness to participate in occasional training (e.g., first aid, CPR) are needed to support teachers and students through instructional activities, materials adaptation, and classroom supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Holds or is qualified to obtain an Educational Aide Permit
- Meets health requirements (e.g., TB test)
- Documented evidence of a clear criminal record
- Self-directed and able to learn required skills
- Ability to physically manage students with disabilities
- Congenial disposition and strong interpersonal skills
- Some assignments may require special training (e.g., first aid, CPR)
