Job Summary
Conduct assigned automobile inspections for mechanical failures including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical systems. While repair facility technicians demonstrate diagnoses, clearly document findings and submit detailed written reports through One Guard's online portal with photo and video evidence. Contact repair facilities to set appointment times and notify One Guard of schedules. Submit fluid samples to Blackstone Laboratories based on inspection nature. Travel to automotive repair facilities for on-site evaluations. Requires own vehicle, hi-def digital camera, and computer access for uploads. Must possess at least three years of car dealership or aftermarket repair experience with proficiency in identifying engine and transmission failures.
Required Qualifications
- At least three (3) years of car dealership experience OR experience in an aftermarket repair facility as an Automotive Technician
- Proficient in identification & description of failures to engines, transmissions and other various mechanical components
- General knowledge of website navigation and ability to compose a comprehensive written report of vehicle inspections
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic presence
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must have their own vehicle for transportation
- Must have hi-def digital camera to take photos
- Must have computer and internet to upload photos and reports
- Must have automobile failure experience and ability to describe failures to engines, transmissions and other various mechanical components
- Ability to identify a failure demonstrated and document it using our secure online portal
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive warranty claims adjuster and/or service advising experience
- Self-motivated, high energy, a customer-focused perspective and possess high attention to detail
- In depth understanding of automotive industry and various manufacturer acronyms and lingo
- ASEs, and/or Factory/trade school certifications
