Job Summary
Direct patient care in the Oncology/Surgical ICU, providing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for critically ill oncology and bone marrow transplant patients. Collaborates with an interprofessional team to deliver high-quality, safe care, educate patients and families, and support postoperative and cancer-care pathways. Supports nursing growth through programs like the Nursing Resident Program and opportunities for CCRN/OCN/BMTNC certification. The role emphasizes patient safety, care coordination across the continuum, and adherence to standards of nursing care in a safety-sensitive environment. Nights and days available with 5+ years ICU experience for some shifts; position is part-time in Unit 7800 at Parkview Tower, BJH North Campus.
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree
- Desire to provide direct patient care in Oncology/SICU
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- BMTNC (Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse Certification)
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
- Experience in Oncology or Surgical ICU
- 5+ years ICU experience preferred for some shifts
- Career Ladder participation
- NRP (Nursing Resident Program) exposure
- Team-oriented patient care

- Ability to work nights or days as needed
