Oncology Social Worker

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop patient- and family-centered care plans for oncology patients. Provide evidence-based counseling, coping strategies, and emotional support while helping patients and families navigate the healthcare system. Coordinate family meetings, advocate for patient needs, and connect patients with community, survivor, and support resources. Develop and facilitate support groups while maintaining partnerships with community and national organizations. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary oncology team to communicate care plans, support discharge planning, and improve patient outcomes. Assist with educational initiatives for oncology staff, patients, and families. Adhere to Baptist Health policies, infection prevention standards, safety protocols, emergency preparedness, and all required training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW)
- Minimum of two (2) years of related social work experience
- Current Kentucky Clinical Social Worker license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association

- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
