Job Summary
Oncology Sales Specialist (Long Island NY) is a field-based role responsible for selling current and potential oncology/hematology therapeutics across the Suffolk/Nassau Long Island and NYC metro territory (Long Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens). You will develop account strategies with the District Manager, prospect for new business, build and manage relationships with physicians and key healthcare providers, deliver clinically-backed sales messaging, navigate reimbursement and market access considerations, and meet or exceed sales quotas. The role requires strong product knowledge, cross-functional collaboration with the Innovative Medicine team, ability to plan pre- and post-call activities, and effective use of virtual engagement tools to support customers. Participation in required training, meetings, and compliant administrative tasks is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Oncology specialty sales experience AND/OR Major Hospital Account Sales Experience
- Valid driver's license
- ability to travel including overnights and/or weekends
- 2+ years direct selling experience in pharmaceutical or biologic/biotech with success
- experience in hospital and large account sales
- ability to build relationships and identify decision makers
- comfort with healthcare compliance and training requirements
