Oncology Sales Specialist- AZ/NM

Job Summary
Oncology Sales Specialist will be an overlay oncology diagnostic sales representative covering the AZ/NM territory, responsible for supporting oncology customers and opportunities, coordinating with Territory Business Managers and the Regional Director, identifying new oncology groups to sell molecular products, and expanding within existing oncology accounts. The role involves interacting with hematologist/oncologists and related specialists across hospital and academic settings, collaborating to meet annual sales/profit goals, engaging with Key Account Managers and CSS to increase account value, facilitating access to oncology groups, and traveling up to 75% as needed. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field (MBA preferred), 5+ years of oncology sales experience in diagnostic or pharma preferred, strong closing and communication skills, knowledge of clinical/laboratory markets, ability to learn product-specific information, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or business-related field required (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of consistent success in oncology sales in diagnostic or pharma (both product and service) preferred
- Strong closing skills
- Prior attendance at formal sales training courses a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels of the organization
- Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills
- Extensive knowledge of clinical and/or laboratory market environment and products
- Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments
- Valid driver’s license for state of residence required
- Travel Required: Ability to travel as required by role (up to 75% of the time). Some overnight travel may be required
