Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver patient-centered nursing care to oncology patients while supervising LPN and secretary staff on the patient care team. Evaluate patient outcomes, adjust nursing care as necessary, and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, standards of practice, and ethical guidelines while providing compassionate support to patients dealing with cancer diagnoses and treatments. Maintain flexibility to adapt to staffing changes dictated by patient care needs. Requires current Ohio RN license, ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card, and two years of nursing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing
- ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card
- Pass a written test on the years not renewing ONS card
- Knowledge of cancer diagnoses and related complications
- Two years of nursing experience
- Strong supervisory and communication skills
