Job Summary
Oncology Registered Nurse provides direct patient care within an oncology care team, coordinates care with oncologists, administers chemotherapy/immunotherapy, implements physician-guided strategies for side-effect management, and educates patients and families about treatment plans. Responsibilities include admissions/transfers/discharges, pain and symptom management, documentation, patient and family education, preceptor duties, and participation in quality improvement and compliance with hospital standards. Must meet nursing qualifications, hold BLS (ACLS/PALS preferred/required within one year), and be prepared to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends, on-call).
