Job Summary
The Oncology Pharmacy Technician IV is responsible for overseeing all aspects of sterile compounding, inventory management, and dispensing of hazardous and non-hazardous drugs in the outpatient oncology pharmacy infusion center. The technician must comply with regulatory standards for hazardous drugs, conduct quality metrics monitoring, manage drug inventory, and prepare chemotherapeutic products with precision. The position requires a minimum of three years' experience in a hospital or infusion therapy setting, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and inventory management.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Connecticut
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in hospital or infusion therapy setting with sterile compounding experience
Desired Qualifications
- National pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) or PTCB preferred
