Job Summary
Oncology Nurse Navigator role providing safe therapeutic care across the health system for cancer patients, guiding patients and families through diagnosis, testing, treatment and follow-up; acts as liaison/advocate to access healthcare outcomes; supports with financial, psychosocial, functional, and administrative issues; coordinates a patient’s plan of care and discharge, educates patients and families about disease process and care options; coordinates with multidisciplinary teams and community resources; conducts assessments and develops case management plans, and maintains documentation per SOPs. Requires Bachelors in Nursing, Virginia RN license, BLS certification, oncology certification within 2 years, and 3 years of progressive nursing experience; full-time day shift in Fairfax Falls Church, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Oncology certification within 2 years of hire
- Licensure - Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Experience - 3 years progressive nursing experience with primary care management of patient population
- Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
