Job Summary
Coordinate and support Phase II–IV Medical Oncology clinical trials involving investigational drugs and biologics under the direction of the Clinical Research Study Site Leader. Provide patient-centered oncology nursing care while coordinating protocol activities with investigators and multidisciplinary teams in accordance with Good Clinical Practice. Collaborate on patient identification, eligibility assessment, informed consent, enrollment, and treatment coordination. Apply clinical judgment to ensure patient safety, protocol compliance, and accurate documentation of Serious Adverse Events. Support assigned physician practices by delivering direct patient care during clinic sessions and managing research activities on non-clinic days. Partner with the Protocol Activation Office to facilitate new trial activations using the OnCoreTM Clinical Trials Management System. Review electronic medical records to verify study requirements and maintain complete research documentation. Full-time role with Monday–Friday hours (8:00 AM–4:30 PM initially, transitioning to 4 days on-site/1 day remote). Salary range $100,000–$120,000. BSN and active RN license in New Jersey required with minimum 3 years hospital/clinic experience and 1 year oncology background.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting or outpatient or clinic setting
- At least 1 year of oncology nursing experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Some experience in a clinical research or trial participant–facing role
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Confidence to be appropriately assertive in advocating for protocol adherence and patient safety
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in document and data management tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Teams, and SharePoint
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, academic, and diverse environment
- Comfortable learning and using clinical systems such as OnCoreTM, electronic medical records (i.e. EPIC), and other clinical trial management tools
- Inoculated annually for Influenza
- Successfully pass a Mantoux Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) for Mycobacterium Tuberculosis
