Job Summary
Oncology Nurse Navigator for Gynecologic Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Provides individualized guidance to patients, families and caregivers using oncology-specific nursing knowledge, conducts education and coordination of care, and supports transition across cancer treatment and survivorship. Responsibilities include day-to-day program operations, patient education and triage, program evaluation, QA/QI involvement, research support, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care. Requires RN licensure in MA/NH, BLS (ACLS acceptable), and oncology nursing credentials as appropriate; BSN strongly preferred if holding an ADN, with BSN required within 4 years. Minimum one year of recent RN experience; oncology ambulatory experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree, Nursing. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred. If Associate degree in Nursing, must complete BSN degree within 4 years.
- Experience: 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse. Ambulatory and/or oncology experience preferred.
- License/Certification/Registration Required: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or State of New Hampshire as appropriate required. AHA BLS required (AHA ACLS accepted as minimum requirement). Professional nursing certification preferred (OCN, BMTCN, CPHON, AOCNP, CRNI, RN-BC).
