Job Summary

Perform primary and secondary patient assessments, document changes to the care plan, and communicate systematic reports to other providers. Deliver IV therapy, hydration, chemotherapy, biotherapy, and blood products while managing cancer treatment side effects. Triage patients, coordinate with providers to ensure care needs are met, and implement individualized plans of care based on evidence-based practice. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:30 in the North Cancer Center clinic. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing with a BSN within five years of hire, plus Licensed Registered Nurse status in Kansas or Missouri.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Graduate
  • Associate Degree Nursing
  • Must complete BSN within 5 years of hire
  • 1 or more years med surg/acute care
  • 1 or more years oncology experience
  • Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse license required for state the clinic is located in, at the time of hire (Kansas or Missouri)
  • Must obtain additional state license, to possess both Kansas and Missouri licensing within 6 months of hire
  • Staff hired prior to 2/1/2024 are required to obtain a multistate RN license from the state in which they live at the time of their next RN license renewal by 3/31/2026
