Job Summary
Hospital-based Oncology Hospitalist to manage inpatient hematology/oncology care, coordinate chemotherapy in collaboration with the patient’s primary oncologist, handle inpatient consultations, and integrate with the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute’s multidisciplinary teams. Collaborates with ambulatory medical oncologists, participates in weekly tumor boards, and works with APPs, nurse navigators, social workers, genetics counseling, and nutritionists. Telemedicine opportunities and access to clinical trials are part of the program across Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, and Ontario with a full-spectrum cancer care team and associated surgical oncology support.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency program
- Board certified or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment through the ABIM or ABPS
- Fellowship in Medical Oncology/Hematology preferred but not required
- Board certified in Medical Oncology/Hematology preferred
- Fellowship trained in onco-hospitalist preferred
- Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC
- Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
