Oncology Diagnostic Liaison - Seattle / San Francisco / Portland

Job Summary
Educate pathologists, lab directors, and oncology multidisciplinary team members on companion diagnostic testing and biomarker implementation for AbbVie oncology products. Optimize biomarker testing as a subject matter expert while developing account-specific business plans to promote high-quality, standardized testing. Partner with external diagnostic partners to align messaging and execute educational programs on testing importance and EHR integration. Represent AbbVie at local and national pathology conferences to drive process standardization and share market intelligence with internal teams. Master technical knowledge of oncology diagnostics including IHC, FISH, and NGS to support precision medicine strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of industry experience (pharmaceutical and/or device sales) or diagnostics (IVD or laboratory industry) experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
- Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences
- Oncology experience
- Demonstrated clinical and business acumen in oncology, diagnostics, hospital laboratory
- Experience / comfort presenting and discussing scientific content relevant to biology of cancer and molecular genomics
- Thorough knowledge of diagnostic oncology market: precision oncology, biomarker testing and technologies, multidisciplinary environments in oncology
- Established relationships with diagnostic laboratories, oncologists and/or pathologists, precision medicine department leaders
