Job Summary
Diagnose and treat patients with various forms of cancer through medical, surgical, and radiation oncology. Order tests including biopsy, blood, and imaging to confirm diagnoses, then develop treatment plans with measurable goals that conform to patient preferences. Provide detailed information regarding prognosis and interventions while managing pain, symptoms, and side effects to maintain quality of life. Reassess disease progression to pursue alternative therapies or palliative care as necessary. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess needs, monitor progress, and participate in clinical trials and study protocols. Utilize approved standards of care and safety precautions while ensuring patient confidentiality. Maintain licensure in good standing and board certification in hematology/oncology within a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of medicine (MD) or MD/PhD, or equivalent, with training in oncology or hematology/oncology
- Board certification relevant to country of hire in hematology/oncology, with licensure in good standing
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other medical professionals
- Motivation to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in research and/or clinical protocols
- Ability to interpret clinical, genomic, and efficacy data
- Experience 5 years at least in oncology center
