Job Summary
The Oncology Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage and resolve insurance and patient receivables for the Oncology service line, with duties including follow-up on oncology claims, posting adjustments, appealing denied claims, responding to payer documentation requests, communicating with patients about balances, establishing payment plans, and coordinating with front desk on payment arrangements; requires knowledge of oncology billing, infusion cycles, chemotherapy regimens, and strong billing/system-process skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in Urology/Oncology, including office-administered medications and infusion services
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, claims, and billing processes
- Experience with medical collections and oncology coding is a plus
