Job Summary
Coordinate new hire paperwork, background checks, benefits enrollment, and IT setup from offer acceptance through the first weeks of employment. Serve as the primary contact for new hires while partnering with hiring managers to tailor onboarding plans. Maintain accurate records, update checklists, and collect feedback to recommend process improvements. Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HIPAA regulations regarding confidential information. Monitor workplace behaviors to foster a positive, trauma-informed environment aligned with Beacon Specialized Living's core values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in onboarding, Human Resources, or a related administrative role
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing the English language
- Must be approved by applicable state, federal, and governmental entities to work within BSLS programs
- Ability to effectively use office equipment, including BSLS information technology systems
- Ability to communicate and function effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with various software programs and applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Ability to create professional employee communication materials
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision
