Job Summary
Conduct the primary point of contact for new hires from offer acceptance through their first weeks of employment. Coordinate onboarding logistics, including paperwork, background checks, benefits enrollment, and IT setup, while partnering with hiring managers to tailor onboarding plans. Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws, maintain accurate records, and collect feedback to recommend process improvements. Support ongoing employee engagement initiatives and assist with HR-related administrative tasks. This role is 100% on-site in Columbus, OH, within the Support Staff job family.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in onboarding, Human Resources, or a related administrative role
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing the English language
- Must be approved by applicable state, federal, and governmental entities to work within BSLS programs
- Ability to effectively use office equipment, including BSLS information technology systems
- Ability to communicate and function effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with various software programs and applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Ability to create professional employee communication materials
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Maintains a professional demeanor
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision
- 100% on-site
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
