Job Summary
Provide customer service throughout the health care facility, conduct screening for entry, and monitor sensitive areas for entry, exits, and support medical staff when needed. Patrol the facility as a visible security presence to deter disruptions while clearly writing reports for incidents and observations. Communicate effectively with staff and visitors, and be able to sit, stand, and/or walk the facility up to an 8-hour shift. Bring your current DCJS card, training forms, high school diploma, and two references to the interview held in the Norfolk, VA office. This armed security role requires a DCJS Armed card and at least three years of armed security or military experience.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years armed security experience or 3 years armed work through military, law enforcement, corrections, or any support role in a combat zone
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 references (name, phone number, and how you know them)
- Ability to pass a background investigation
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Pass medical exam to include immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Covid-19, T-Dap, Hep-B, Flu vaccine)
- DCJS Armed card
- DCJS Unarmed card
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk the facility up to an 8-hour shift
