Job Summary
On-Site Service Technician responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance (oil changes, valve adjustments, lubrication checks), troubleshooting and repairing engines, interpreting safety documents and mechanical diagrams, and reading schematics. The role requires experience with diagnostic tools and a strong customer-service mindset, the ability to travel including overnight travel, teamwork, and the flexibility to work in shift and on-call arrangements. Experience with Jenbacher gas engines and field-service on engines is preferred; English fluency and G-91 certification are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service mindset
- Strong skills to drive, support, empower and inspire the Service teams and Customers
- +7 years’ experience in a technical role or extensive Field-Service experience on engines (ideally INNIO Jenbacher engines)
- Technical attitude, complemented by strong business acumen including basic IT skills
- Willingness to work in shift model (depending) and on call
- Experience working with electrical or mechanical systems
- Fluency in English a must
- G-91 Certification (Co-Gen Engines, Power Plant, Gas Utilities)
- Strong communication skills, customer communications
- Boundaryless and multi-cultural mindset and team player
- Able to work efficiently without direct supervision
- Jenbacher training certifications: FTB, FTA, CT1, CT2, MR6
- Mechanical RCA research and analysis exposure
- Previous field experience a bonus
