On-Site Safety Assistant

On-Site Safety Assistant responsible for MRI safety within Zones III and IV and acting as the primary safety authority during remote MRI operations. Enforces ACR Level 2 MRI safety standards, manages access control, verifies MR safety of equipment entering Zone IV, conducts environmental safety checks, and maintains communication with the remote MRI technologist to ensure patient readiness and safety throughout MRI exams. Requires strong attention to safety, ability to stop workflows when needed, and collaboration with MRI leadership and MRSO/MRSE/MRMD as needed. Schedule includes Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00am to 3:30pm in Fairfield, CT; role emphasizes zero distractions, distraction-free safety, and compliance with HIPAA and translation services where required.
