On-Site Medical Scribe supports primary care providers by documenting in the electronic medical record, transcribing clinical information during patient visits, and updating patient medical records to improve provider efficiency and patient flow. Responsibilities include preparing and assembling medical record documentation, entering information alongside the physician during visits, updating all components of the medical record (subjective and objective data, physical exam, and pertinent clinical information), sending documentation for physician review, monitoring basic lab results and screenings, following up on lab durations as needed, ensuring accurate documentation, and complying with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and site-specific policies. The role requires professionalism, adherence to attendance policies, and the ability to perform other clerical tasks to enhance clinic workflow. Must be able to work part-time shifts (Mon-Fri 7:30 am-5:00 pm) with 16-24 hours weekly, or full-time with 32+ hours weekly for extended periods, and be proficient in typing and English reading/writing.
