Job Summary
On-Site Interpreter responsible for providing consecutive or simultaneous interpretation during meetings, appointments, or interactions. Must maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and impartiality while preserving meaning and tone across languages. Requires strong language proficiency in English plus at least one additional language (e.g., Arabic, Cantonese, Chinese, Mandarin, Spanish, Hindi) and 1–2 years of professional interpreting experience. Travel to multiple locations may be required; independent work capability and adherence to interpreter ethics are essential. Preferred qualifications include formal interpreter certification and completion of a 40-hour training program, with experience in corporate, legal, community, or public-service settings.
Required Qualifications
- Professional fluency (spoken and written) in English and at least one additional language.
- Minimum 1–2 years of professional interpreting experience.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Demonstrated adherence to interpreter ethics: confidentiality, accuracy, and impartiality.
- Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and adapt to different environments.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple locations if required.
