Job Summary
Midwest Hose is hiring a On-Site Hose Service Technician to operate a fully equipped mobile hose shop and provide on-site hose assembly and repair at customer locations. Responsibilities include performing hose assembly and repair in the mobile shop and at customer sites, installing or reinstalling hoses on equipment, preparing assemblies from instructions and parts lists, selecting proper tools (saws, crimpers, tape measures, calipers), inspecting connections for proper fit, identifying parts, removing faulty hoses, documenting actions via production/quality forms, preparing hoses for delivery, building a prospect list for new clientele, and on-call availability. The role requires strong verbal and written communication, reading ability, basic computer/data-entry skills, ability to read printed lists or handheld monitors, physical dexterity (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, etc.), and an MVR check. Prior heavy/industrial equipment maintenance and hose assembly experience is required or highly preferred, with a benefits package including 401(k), health/dental, life insurance, PTO, and parental leave. The work is on-site in Haltom City and Fort Worth, TX with a focus on safety, reliability, and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED (required)
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
- Prior Heavy Equipment / Industrial Equipment maintenance experience (required)
- Prior hose assembly experience (highly preferred but not required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent reading and writing skills
- Good computer skills (typing, data input, internet navigation, etc.)
- Must be able to read English from printed list or hand-held monitor
- Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting – 100% daily (subject to change daily)
- Must be able to pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) check
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. in adherence with safety standards
- Ability to meet physical demands of warehouse environment (grasps, manipulation, reaching, etc.)
- Commitment to work additional hours as needed
- Must be able to document actions and complete production and quality forms
