Job Summary
On-site Home Visitor provides support to Families with expectant parents and children birth to 3, including information/referrals, parenting programs, respite care, and supervised play; works to prevent maltreatment and family violence, assesses developmental milestones, strengthens parental capacity and problem-solving, builds community networks, and coordinates with military installation officials; requires licenses (LCSW/LMFT or RN) and a master’s degree in Social Work for social work roles, with home visitation experience and ability to travel to client homes.
Required Qualifications
- two (2) years of direct work experience in child abuse or domestic abuse, or maternal or child health or medical social work
- current and active license as an LCSW, LMFT or RN
- for LCSWs: master's degree in Social Work
- for RNs: bachelor's degree in nursing, current unrestricted license, two (2) years of direct work experience with child abuse/domestic abuse/maternal or child health/mental health
- home visitation experience
- valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- ability to travel as needed and adhere to AFSC travel policies
