Job Summary
Separate artwork for screen printing production by creating combined vector and raster separations, including photo-realistic half-tone blends. Generate print-specification documentation with color callouts, hit orders, and art placement for samples and R&D while updating records as needed. Collaborate with the Sampling Department to conduct research and document successes or failures per job. Maintain quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator within a Mac-based setup.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years spot channel separation / simulated process separation experience (graphics for apparel)
- Extensive knowledge of separating artwork into individual screens, mesh counts, plastisol inks, hit orders and squeegee types
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS
- Knowledge of automatic and manual screen print presses
- Mac/Apple based environment
- Ability to maintain quality of work and productivity in a fast-paced, high efficient environment with tight timelines and shifting priorities
- Excellent attention to detail, technical documentation and organization skills
- Team player with a strong work ethic: able to mentor others and willing to learn
- Ability to problem solve spontaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on screen print experience is preferred
- Experience with Spot Process, Separation Studio or other separation software and technology is a plus
- Demonstrated passion for design innovation, and explorative creative thought
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Self confidence and composure to accept critique, process it, and apply the learning to improve
- The drive to see projects through to the end and deal with the adversities along the way
