On-site Freelance Game LQA Tester (Simplified Chinese to Japanese)

On-site Freelance Game Localization QA Tester for Simplified Chinese and Japanese. Responsible for identifying and fixing localization/linguistic issues, writing detailed bug descriptions, following test cases and checklists, and performing regression testing to ensure linguistic accuracy across platforms. Responsibilities include applying knowledge of the target market to influence product, proactively identifying gaps in test coverage, collaborating with partner teams, and providing constructive feedback on gameplay, fun factor, and game balance. Requires native-level Simplified Chinese and Japanese (testing language), fluency in English, strong attention to detail, and ability to work onsite in Shanghai, China. Right to work in China is mandatory. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in computer science or game design is a strong plus. This is a freelance/contract role based at the client’s Shanghai office with core hours Monday–Friday.
