Job Summary
On-Site Fire Project Manager leads complex fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects across commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and military facilities. Responsible for establishing local project offices, defining scope, identifying risks, developing project plans, allocating resources, and managing schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Communicates progress to management and customers, ensures projects close on time and within scope, and coordinates changes to improve margins. Requires hard-to-make connections between design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, field installation, and compliance with codes, AHJ requirements, and SOX procedures. Strong emphasis on delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality project execution with frequent local travel. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Project) and ability to build macros is required. Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent; minimum 5 years’ PM/installation experience in construction or electrical fields. NICET, PMP, or related certifications are preferred; NICET II within 1 year; PMP within two years. Salary range $89,400-$130,000 with bonus and comprehensive benefits; relocation not specified. The role is On-Site with local travel.)
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years’ project management or installation experience in construction or electrical field
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Project)
- Ability to create Excel spreadsheets, reference data in other spreadsheets, and create macros
- Available for frequent local travel
- Preferred: Certificate or diploma in Fire & Life Safety, Electrical/Electronic; Security; Project Management Professional certification within 2 years; NICET Level II within 1 year
- Certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred
