Job Summary
Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures to service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards. Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups while troubleshooting diagnostics to meet and exceed customer demands through efficient, responsive, and accurate on-site maintenance. Properly maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, and Expense Reports, and provide direction to less experienced technicians for escalated technical or customer service-related problem areas. Work a 3.5 days on, 3.5 days off schedule with one weekend day per rotation, including shift differentials for nights and bonuses paid on weekends. Requires valid driver's license, ability to travel, and capacity to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 1 to 2 years of related experience
- A basic understanding of internet environments
- Ability to complete the 120-day introductory period
- Ability to complete the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Capability to work in a 24/7 environment
- Ability to perform shift work
- Ability to perform on-call rotations
- Ability to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter customers' premises
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to be active more than 50 percent of the time
- Ability to work Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday schedules
- Ability to work half days on Wednesdays
- Ability to work one weekend day per schedule
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Residence in the United States at the time of hire
