Job Summary
Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures to service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards. Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups while meeting and exceeding customer demands through efficient, responsive on-site maintenance. Properly maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, and expense reports while providing direction to less experienced technicians. Provide solutions for escalated technical and customer service-related problem areas across any requested territory. Work a 3.5 days on/3.5 days off schedule with 1/2 days on Wednesdays, including weekend days, shift differentials for nights, and bonuses paid on weekends. Requires valid driver's license, ability to travel, and capability to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 1 to 2 years of related experience
- A basic understanding of internet environments
- The ability to complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class
- The ability to travel
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- The capability to work in a 24/7 environment
- The capability to perform shift work
- The capability to perform on-call rotations
- Required to take all necessary steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter the customers' premises
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be active more than 50 percent of the time
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- All applicants must reside in the United States at the time of hire
