Job Summary
Conduct on-site field service for network connectivity, Wi-Fi, and Windows environments across Portland and surrounding areas. Gather client information via phone, email, or documentation while troubleshooting network security issues and operating system problems. Travel locally to different clients with a company car for work and personal use. Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record. This entry-level role offers advancement into leadership positions within a team-player environment that provides training and certification for fast-changing office technology.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of network connectivity, network security and Wi-Fi networks
- Good understanding of Windows environment and common operating systems
- Ability to work with a variety of customers and vendors (some technical some non-technical)
- Ability to communicate with customers in order to gather more information
- Aggressive problem solver
- Ability to travel locally to different clients
- Ability to communicate through phone / email / written documentation
- Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (SMTP, FTP, SMB, Ports, TCP/IP)
- Knowledge and hands-on experience providing support to users using Windows Desktop Operating Systems and other mainstream Microsoft applications
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cohesively with clients
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be 21 or older
Desired Qualifications
- Previous network field experience preferred but not required
- Good understanding of Mac OS environment
- CompTIA Network+ certified
- Previous experience working with IT professionals
