Job Summary
Process customer orders and sell Motion Industries' assets via telephone, fax, email, or walk-in counter sales. Source products from branch inventory, distribution centers, or suppliers, expediting backorders and preparing shipments. Negotiate sale and purchase prices within parameters to influence gross profit, adjust non-contract pricing based on competition, and minimize branch freight costs. Handle customer returns, troubleshoot part identification, and interact with suppliers for pricing. Fulfill orders for Consignment customers to maintain appropriate inventory levels while partnering with Account Representatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and time management skills
- Moderate computer skills, including information processing, communicating internally and externally via email, using business systems and searching capabilities to find products on the internet
- Good driving record
- Reliability, organization, and attention to detail
- Must be available to work more than 50% of the time at the customer location
