Job Summary
Provide technical liaison between customers and Flowserve for design, installation, operation, and maintenance of centrifugal and liquid ring vacuum pumps and mechanical seals; troubleshoot onsite and at Flowserve Quick Response Repair Center; complete failure analyses and product performance reports; evaluate data to support recommendations for improvement, replacement, or repair; tailor technical explanations to varied audiences; implement mechanical seal standardization and customer specification processes; assist with organizing monthly “Bad Actor” meetings; ensure proper installation procedures and customer training; maintain equipment and parts data, manage engineering-system records, and support engineering change notices; travel to customer sites as needed and obtain required credentials for access.
Required Qualifications
- BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- All levels of experience considered
- In-plant operations experience highly desired
- Knowledge of the design, materials, and operational requirements of mechanical seals and rotating equipment, especially centrifugal and liquid ring vacuum pumps
- Strong customer focus and ability to project a positive corporate image
- Team-oriented, problem-solving, and constructive collaboration with customers and co-workers
- Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate and tech-savvy
- Ability to travel locally and overnight; valid driver’s license and related safety credentials
