On Road Supervisor

Job Summary
Manage and work with on-road employees to maximize efficiency and ensure packages are delivered safely, timely, and professionally. Use the balanced scorecard and quality improvement process to track performance against goals, facilitate daily dispatch plans, and complete supervision and audit rides. Maintain operational performance by developing work process plans, troubleshooting inefficiencies, reviewing schedules, and monitoring costs to budget. Apply policies and procedures to resolve problems and achieve business objectives while ensuring implementation of a comprehensive health and safety plan. Conduct risk management and safety compliance audits, maintain employee training certifications, and evaluate labor markets to devise talent attraction strategies. Provide feedback, support, and performance evaluations to resolve individual and group issues, coaching others using career development processes. This role requires DOT certification, UPS package car driving experience, and a Bachelor's degree. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or authorized to work in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
- Currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself
- At least 21 years of age
- Previous UPS Package car driving experience
- Ability to lift 70lbs/32 kgs
- Ability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
- Working knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- DOT certified
- Willing to take a physical exam, including a driving test
- Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience
