Job Summary
Call on every account on your route daily, adhering strictly to scheduled assignments. Merchandise coolers, stock shelves, rotate product, and build displays while performing continuous lifting and walking. Check company products and POS within each account to ensure proper distribution, position, and merchandise. Take complete inventory of company products, validate code dates for quality assurance, and record numbers in your handheld system. Sell the entire line by checking stock, considering special factors, and upgrading orders to maximize consumer sales. Maintain up-to-date data in route accounting software, ensuring compliance with NC ABC laws and valid permits. Report monthly sales versus goals, submit new account leads, and alert management to competitor activities or pricing discrepancies. Cultivate relationships with store owners and staff to obtain maximum business push.
Required Qualifications
- You must have very reliable transportation
- maintain the appropriate and necessary insurance to work here
- You possess a North Carolina ABC permit
- Ensure you abide by the laws of North Carolina as it relates to interactions with ABC permittees
- only selling to accounts with ABC license
- only selling products that are allowed under the accounts specific permit(s)
- Upon each visit at a retail account, you must ensure the retailer has an active permit
- possesses the correct permit for product type you are selling

- Make special contacts and or night calls as requested
- Give extra service to accounts that require special attention due to unusual volume

- Submit any leads for new draft accounts to the Market Manager or the On Premise Manager
- Be familiar with Federal, State, and Local laws as they affect the sale and distribution of beer
- Do not violate such laws!
- Maintain competitive pricing in each account
- Report any off pricing to the office so corrections can be made if they cannot be done by you
- Attend any/all sales meeting scheduled by management
