On-Call Substitute Preschool Teacher

Support Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms as a Substitute Preschool Teacher, stepping in to carry out prepared lessons, maintain safety and positive learning environments, and collaborate with co-teachers and families. Responsibilities include following classroom schedules, implementing developmentally appropriate activities, documenting attendance and simple notes, upholding health and safety practices, ensuring confidentiality, and supporting inclusive practices. Strong teamwork, ability to adapt to changing assignments, and basic technology use are important; a High School Diploma is required and a valid driver’s license is preferred. The role focuses on assisting infants, toddlers, or preschool-age children within a Milwaukee-based center.
